Would like to take the time to thank your agency for hiring the best nurses. My dad and us are very pleased with DB, RN as my dad’s nurse. My dad’s feet became swollen, pink/red and sensible to touch/painful. DB, RN immediately mentioned it could be arterial, so I took my dad to his PCP and they ran scans of his arteries/heart, legs/feet even kidneys. As the problem progressed DB, RN mentioned cellulitis. My dad had his appointment on April 4th but on April 3rd he was in a lot of pain and feet were almost red and very swollen. read more

I had a hard time getting him to understand he had to go to the Emergency Services at Memorial to be seen but as soon as I showed my dad, DB, RN thought it could be cellulitis, I was able to convince him. Tests/Scans were run arterial, and veins and legs and feet and doctor said nothing was the problem. That it could have been and infection he had in the past. I showed the doctor, DB, RN texts message asking me to check my dad for cellulitis and that was the only way the doctor prescribed antibiotics.
My dad was at ER only about 4 hours and was discharged home. He was never inpatient. after that my dad’s feet no longer swollen or red/pink. Are barely hurting to touch. My dad hasn’t complained his feet hurt.
Thank you, Db, RN for being so nice and caring to my dad but most importantly for being knowledgeable in your field which is nursing. You saved a life! my dad’s life. We are very grateful for ACP.
